The
Great South Aussie Adventure
This
is an epic motorhome trip, filmed throughout South
Australia in our old Leyland Denning
converted bus, towing an ultralight aircraft. It is
designed specifically for those interested in the
freedom of motorhome travel with the added
bonus of being able to go flying and view Australia
from the air. Overseas viewers will be fascinated by
the wide range of subject matter in this
video. This is
a real life
travel account of life on the road filmed as things happened,
i.e. untimely breakdowns, running repairs and wild weather etc without the
false set ups of some other productions. The video
also includes some of the money making activities
used to finance our trip and some interesting
flying stuff.
Mainly filmed on
location in South Australia, this documentary covers
many different aspects of Australia's driest State -
some might say the real Australia. Some of the
places we visited are yet to be discovered by
the majority of Aussies.
Highlights
of this video include a broad spectrum of landscapes
from the semi arid bushland of the Riverland, to the rich
wheat growing country of the Mid North, local events,
i.e. Port Lincoln's Tunarama
Festival and the Tuna Tossing Championships,
paddleboats on the mighty Murray River, the
Limestone Coast's ancient limestone caves, the
rugged coastline of the South East, Mount Gambier's
mysterious Blue Lake which changes colour every year
and footage of Australia's two most famous aerobatic
aces at a local air show.
Other points of
interest include a celebrity sighting. Let's just say he's
the adventurous type...
Oh and did
I say some interesting flying stuff?!
