Natfly 2004
Review by Angela Smith September 2004 edition of
Pacific Flyer - "Video Review Natfly 2004"
This video runs for approximately one and a half
hours covering interviews with pilots, importers and
designers of various aircraft, static displays and
take-off and landings.
Included in this
years coverage are:
Neil Lawry, Mustang
11 owner. Neil chats about the aircraft and the
modifications he has made to improve it. The cost of
purchasing a kit - this is a very basic aircraft and
probably one of the least expensive kits around at
the moment.
Dave King - who has
been patiently building the Hummel over several
years - now nearly complete.
Savannah reps talk
about their aircraft and the HKS engine.
Ole Jensen from Boss
products demonstrates his inflight adjustable
propeller - with a 1000 hour TBO.
Tom Wickers chats
about his pride and joy - the Cobra.
Phil Ainsworth from
Jabiru covers the range of aircraft and engines. He
talks about how pleased the team at Jabiru are with
the new J160, which was on display at Narromine.
The above are just to
name a few.
A variety of other
owners and builders were also interviewed, which of
course included the builder of the "Best Overall
Aircraft" at Natfly - the Sonex built from scratch
by Lynn Jarvis. Many of the pilots talk about their
aircraft's performance and features. So if you
weren't able to make Natfly this year then a copy of
this video or DVD is a good substitute.
