The all metal Spitfire is available in
kit form and is approved in many countries with a number of different
registration categories. The aircraft has a speed range from 40 to 200
knots.
Originally
designed as a promotional DVD for Supermarine Aircraft the production has become
popular as a documentary in its own right.
This version
is longer than the original and contains some extra flying footage.
Included are
interviews with aerobatic Spitfire pilot Richard Lea and the aircraft designer
and producer Mike O'Sullivan.
During a
tour through the factory the construction of the kit is explained, the 320 hp
supercharged engine kit is also covered.
Highlights
include onboard footage with aerobatics, air to air views and some rather hot
strip runs.
